Civics
Civics | Sixth Grade | Seventh Grade
The 6th grade Civics class is an introduction to government, law and the responsibility of citizenship. Students will do this through study of the following concepts:
They will understand the most primitive ideas of these concepts through the projects such as Fairy Tales on Trial.
Civics is also an opportunity for students to learn the fine art of debate. Students will be given the opportunity to express their own opinion but, more importantly, they will also begin to learn to listen to, appreciate and reason against another's opinion.
