Middle School
Heschel West Middle School, which opened in September 2005, is a community Jewish day school with a uniquely progressive general and Judaic studies program that emphasizes experiential learning. We develop committed and enthusiastic learners who are confident about their future. We foster self-respect and provide the tools and instruction that contribute to social development and stability during a fragile age in an adolescent’s emotional development. We do so by creating consistent opportunity to succeed and by treating each student with sensitivity to his or her unique potential.
Heschel West Middle School embraces the traditions and educational philosophy of Heschel West. While engaging in an academically rigorous program, we also challenge, motivate, excite and empower our students within three unique programmatic areas.
Hands-on experience in cutting-edge technologies, including video production,
music composition, animation and more.
Community and Political Activism
Instruction in political awareness and enabling students to become a
responsible citizen and an integral part of our democracy.
Participation in extreme sports, environmental programs and outdoor education.
