Applied Technology

Instruction in the use of computers, along with computer-aided instruction in other subject areas and typing instruction, has become an important part of most middle school programs. Heschel West Middle School, however, will go farther.

Technology and the application of technology will be at the foundation of our program. Just as our program will mirror the elementary school in terms of integration of Judaic and general studies, so too will technology by interwoven into a variety of subject areas.

In addition, students of Heschel West Middle School will receive hands-on experience in cutting-edge computer use, including computer-aided video production, computer-aided music composition, computer-aided animation and computer-aided drafting. Many of these opportunities will be provided by way of exploratory courses, taught by some of the region’s most prominent people in their respective fields.
