Touring

Visiting the school is a wonderful experience and a great way to get an idea of what exciting things go on everyday at Heschel West. Call the Admissions office for an appointment.

Interview

All applicants are required to have an informal interview with the teacher. This is a warm, friendly, get to know you thirty minutes.

Screening

All applicants for Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten are required to attend a small group screening where we observe them at fine motor, gross motor, and socialization centers. Applicants will participate in varied activities in a warm, comfortable, and fun environment in order to provide information about their readiness and appropriateness for our school.
1st through 8th grade applicants will be assessed in an individual or group screening for their grade level readiness. Middle School applicants are required to take the ISEE exam.

Admissions Decisions Committee

Each applicant file is assessed for acceptance by a committee of educators and administrators

Financial Aid

Tuition assistance is available. Please check the appropriate box on the application to receive financial aid information by mail. Tuition assistance is based on eligibility, need, and the school’s available funds.

Late Applicants

Late applications are reviewed on a rolling admissions basis. We encourage you to submit your paperwork as early as possible.
